Rafael Somoza is a serial entrepreneur and investor and is currently Co-Founder and Co-CEO of QMC Telecom International, a leading developer, manager, and operator of digital wireless infrastructure across Latin America. Previously, Rafael served as Co-Founder and CEO of VIU Media, which at the time was Puerto Rico’s largest private outdoor advertising company, until its sale to Lamar Advertising. He has also worked at Chase Manhattan Bank and CS First Boston. Rafael graduated magna cum laude in Economics and Political Science from Yale University and has an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Over the years he has served in several profit and not-for-profit Boards of Directors and has been directly involved in a number of real estate developments including the Rincon Beach Resort, a 120 room beachfront hotel on the western coast of Puerto Rico.
